We are the Environment & Climate Change Action Group for Dumfries & Galloway Youth Council and we’re applying for funding to cover the costs of training and team-building opportunities that’ll help us be effective in our role. Winterfest is an exciting programme of activities, trips and events for young people aged 12 – 25 years who have additional support needs and disabilities.  We are offering a safe, inclusive and supportive space for young people to explore, learn, have fun and shine!  

Dumfries Parkour Group (DPG) is made up of young people who want to develop various skills and techniques whilst overcoming obstacles in a natural environment through the use of running, vaulting, jumping, climbing, rolling and other movements in order to travel from one point to another in the quickest way possible.

We are working together with #LIFT Lochside and we have came up with a programme where the kids/young adults will be coming to Jericho Loch for catch to cook weekends, where they will camp, learn to fly fish, catch fish and also cook them. It's Fun!

We are a small charity theatre operating in Dalbeattie within the Abbey Ward. Our activities include the provision of youth drama section that works together to put on plays based on various issues including those worrying our young people in the ward. We also provide a programme of films. We plan to produce a minimum of 2 productions allowing our young people to express their feeling so on the priorities, both being before March 2021.

Writing, making, playing and listening to music helps young people to say how they feel and can help people to feel better. We want to use this funding to upgrade the Music Room and Recording Studio in the Oasis Youth Centre because the equipment is out of date and many of the instruments need repaired for young people to be able to properly use it.

The LGBTQI youth Group meet every Wednesday night in Lockerbie Youth Room, we are a group that are helping to support raising awareness issues surrounding LGBTQI and reducing any related attached stigma as well as being  a support group for LGBTQI young people.
