Reconnect Whithorn

This project will bring young people, aged 12-17 together, socially, over the winter months to take part in a range of fun and safe activities. The aim of the project is to reconnect young people to their community and wider friendship circles after a long period of social isolation, heightened anxieties and uncertainty during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We aim help young people feel included, energised, motivated, confident and safe!
Better Lives Partnership - Bridge to Employment Project @ Wigtownshire

Better Lives Partnership (BLP) aims to develop a range of opportunities for young people with autism and related disabilities. We want to ensure young people in Dumfries & Galloway within this group do not face barriers to fulfilling their potential, are supported and empowered to live meaningful and independent lives.
The Gatehouse Bunker - Drive in Movie

The drive in movie event will be an event that will be able to go ahead with all social distancing recommendations in place. Young people will be able to attend with their families at no cost and watch a movie on the big screen in our local park. The event planning, preparation and delivery will be done by a team made up of volunteers and young leaders who are aged 12 - 25.
DG Youth Council-Climate Change & Environment Group

We are the Environment & Climate Change Action Group for Dumfries & Galloway Youth Council and we’re applying for funding to cover the costs of training and team-building opportunities that’ll help us be effective in our role. Young people across D&G are worried about their future and the future of our area, country, and planet. The mental and physical well-being of young people and the issues facing our environment are linked and we are applying for funding for training that’ll help us support young people in our communities.

Summerhill Youth Committee - "Who Cares? Come Together" Project

"Who Cares?" Project will highlight bullying behaviour; identify coping strategies and develop an anti bullying movement by young people. The FREE activities will include themed films; topic debates; workshops; evening supper. Group trips will focus on youth planning to promote an "all together approach" - showing "WE CARE" and are united against bullying!
Solway Spartans Boxing Club

Solway Spartans Boxing Club would like to apply for funding to help the club take our boxers to events and competitions where they could develop their skills and increase their potential. This would also help build team spirit and allow our boxers to encourage and support each other.
Duke of Edinburghs Award - Equiptment for All Langholm

To provide up to date outdoor equipment for more young people in Annandale and Eskdale Ward to complete their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expeditions in a safe and enjoyable way. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a programme of practical, cultural and social activities which supports the development of young people. It gives opportunities for personal achievement through adventure, volunteering in the community, personal and social development. It is open to all young people aged 14-25. Our mission is “to inspire, guide and support young people in their self-development and recognise their achievements”.
