Young people from the communities of the Stewartry and the Glenkens can potentially have huge distances to travel across the region to access educational, social, cultural, sporting events. To ensure the longevity and sustainability of this project and for the impact to be felt more widely across our rural school communities we need to ensure that transport can continue to be ‘free for all’ from 2020 the school now has the use of a minibus. This will dramatically increase the number of opportunities available to our young people, but in order for this project to continue to be viable, running costs have to be met. Our project proposal for this coming year is aimed at helping to cover these costs, therefore ensuring the continuity of free transport.
