Food Train offers a shopping, befriending, and household support service for people aged 65+. We want older people to be able to keep their independence by ensuring they have fresh groceries, social contact and companionship plus access to further support. We cover every part of Annandale & Eskdale from our offices in Annan supporting around 110 older people, mostly aged 80+. Through our volunteers, Food Train provides a well targeted, effective and flexible service with low cost inputs which is affordable to all older people, playing a critical role in delaying the onset of higher cost packages of care.
