In order to breakdown the barrier of poverty to participation, we would use the grant to fund 23 free community football spaces to local children whose families are experiencing low income/poverty. The funds would cover their registration fee, weekly training fees and kit. These children would in turn be able to continue to reap a myriad of social, emotional and physical benefits of playing and training with their peer group in Annan Athletic Community Football. The parents/carers would have the security of knowing this would not impact negatively on the poverty they were experiencing.
