GATEHOUSE OF FLEET YMCA - DROP IN PATHWAYS TO EMPLOYMENT

The Drop In Pathways to Employment pilot project is aimed primarily at 16-25 year olds and will provide monthly two hour group sessions on a variety of topics and activities including talks from local employers and assistance with finding and securing employment, CV writing, work and volunteer experience opportunities, further education and training. There shall be additionally opportunities for one-to-one coaching and advice on completing application forms, interview preparation, job interviews, updating CVs, and reviewing skills and experience. Accompanied visits to businesses, interviews, training and educational establishments, and relevant volunteering opportunities will also be offered. The Drop-In will also become a Hub for local businesses and community organisations to advertise vacancies and offer volunteering and training opportunities. These will be posted in the Drop-In premises, and sent out via social media to those attending the sessions.
