Community Exchange is a volunteering project, run by local people for their own community, that distributes food, children’s toys, clothes and household goods to people that need them in the Lochside community of Dumfries. The project is run by ‘Lochside Is Families Together’ (#LIFT) from a publicly accessible former shop unit and connects donated nonperishable food and household goods from shops, other organisations and members of the public with those that need them. The funding applied for through this application would finance the whole project for 6 months.
